REASI, AUGUST 14: District Administration Reasi today organised a Tiranga Rally at the world’s highest rail bridge – the Chenab Bridge – as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2025. The event was held under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Reasi Ms Nidhi Malik.

Students, youth, prominent citizens and officials participated, carrying the Tricolour across the Chenab Bridge and creating an atmosphere of patriotism against its scenic backdrop.

DC Reasi Nidhi Malik said the Chenab Bridge, a symbol of engineering achievement and national pride, reflects the spirit of unity. She said the rally at this historic site demonstrates the commitment of the people of Reasi to national ideals and urged residents to ensure every home hoists the Tricolour under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

The event concluded with patriotic slogans echoing through the Chenab valley. SDM Tariq Aziz, the concerned ZEO and officials from the administration and police were present.


 KATHUA, AUGUST 14: District Administration Kathua, led by Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma, today organised a Tiranga Rally at the district headquarters as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to mark the 79th Independence Day.

Students, security personnel, senior citizens, women and youth participated in large numbers, creating a vibrant display of unity and patriotism. The rally was flagged off by DC Rajesh Sharma from the Sports Stadium Kathua and passed through key points in the town.

Participants carried the national flag while chanting “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram.” Residents, shopkeepers and passers-by joined in, adding to the patriotic spirit.

Addressing the gathering, the DC commended the citizens’ participation and thanked security forces, students and civil society members for their support. He said the rally symbolised respect for the Tricolour and reflected the deep-rooted patriotic sentiment in Kathua.

The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, aims to encourage citizens to hoist the national flag at home, fostering pride in the national identity.

The rally concluded at the Sports Stadium with cultural performances by school children, including songs, dances and skits on unity and sacrifice.

 


ANANTNAG, AUGUST 14: As part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, a mega Tiranga Rally led by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, S F Hamid was held today at Anantnag.

SSP, Amritpal Singh, ADCs, ACR, ACD, and other senior officers from civil and police administration, besides engineering wings also participated in the event.

Witnessing enthusiastic participation from thousands of citizens coming from diverse walks of life, the rally commenced from Sports Stadium and culminated at Janglat Mandi. The colorful and vibrant rally signified a spirited and vibrant show of patriotism, unity and collective resolve to uphold dignity of the nation.

As the grand rally passed through Mehdi Kadal, Lal Chowk and Ganjiwara, before culminating at Janglat Mandi; the participants marched with pride and honor with the Tricolour held aloft and high reflecting a sense of collective pride and resilience.

During the rally, songs glorifying freedom fighters and on patriotic themes were played lending the streets a lively and jubilant ambience.

Notably, 1.5 km Tiranga was also carried by the participants and the volunteers all along which created an incredible spectacle as the rally marched ahead.


 RAMBAN, AUGUST 14: District Administration Ramban today organised a bike Tiranga rally as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to mark the 79th Independence Day.

Led by Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan, the rally started from Shan Palace Ramban, passed through the Flyover and Chanderkote, and returned to Shan Palace. A large number of bikers from various walks of life participated.

ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak, ACR Shokat Hayat Mattoo, Dy SP HQ Om Parkesh, Dy SP Traffic Sajjad Khan, senior officers, members of civil society, local youth, social workers and members of the Beopar Mandal also joined the event.

Since the start of the campaign on AUGUST 2, 2025, the district administration has organised a series of activities under Har Ghar Tiranga, including flag hoisting ceremonies, rangoli and rakhi making, Tiranga rallies, cultural programmes, shikara rallies, horse rider’s rally, cleanliness drives, plantation drives, painting competitions and awareness programmes in markets, public places, educational institutions, sub-divisions, tehsils and blocks.

The Deputy Commissioner urged citizens, especially youth, to participate in Independence Day celebrations and to hoist the national flag at their homes under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

 


RAJOURI, AUGUST 14: More than 17,000 citizens participated in two Tiranga rallies in Rajouri district under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

In Nowshera, over 10,000 citizens and students carried a 2 km-long Tricolour in a march that filled the streets with saffron, white and green.

In Rajouri town, more than 7,000 participants, led by DIG Rajouri–Poonch Range Tejinder Singh, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma and SSP Rajouri Gaurav Sikarwar, marched from the Tourism Reception Centre to Dhanidhar Fort.

Both tehsils, located close to the Line of Control, demonstrated unity and paid tribute to the armed forces and martyrs. The rallies reflected the resilience of the people following recent cross-border hostilities and reinforced their commitment to national unity.

The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign continues to see strong participation across Rajouri, with households proudly displaying the National Flag.

 


POONCH, AUGUST 14: District Poonch today witnessed a grand Tiranga rally under the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. The rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma from the Natu Auditorium, with participation from people from all walks of life.

The rally followed a route through DC Office Chowk, Purani Poonch, Bus Stand and Nakha Wala Chowk, concluding at the Sports Stadium, Poonch. Participants waved the Tricolour and chanted patriotic slogans throughout the march.

The event was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, senior district officials, police and security personnel, students from various institutions, prominent citizens and members of the public.

The Deputy Commissioner praised the enthusiasm of participants and highlighted the role of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in instilling patriotic values among youth and the wider community.
