UDHAMPUR, APRIL 07: To commemorate World Health Day, the NSS Unit of Government Degree College Neeli Nallah in Udhampur organised a symposium contest on the topic “Health for All” under the mission G20 Awareness. The programme was organised under the guidance of the college Principal, Prof Hans Raj.

Prof Hans Raj spoke about the importance of healthy living and the need for awareness about various health-related issues. He advised students to adopt healthy hygiene habits. Ten students participated in the symposium contest and presented their views on the theme of the day. Deep Kumar, a student of semester VI, secured first position while Sunaina Devi and Rupali Rajput, students of semester IV, secured second and third positions respectively.

The event was followed by a cleanliness and plantation drive in the college campus with the aim of enhancing its beauty and promoting a healthy environment. The principal, staff and students participated in the drive and planted about 30 tree saplings. The programme was coordinated by NSS PO Unit Prof Radha Rani with an organising committee consisting of Prof Swati Dutt, Prof Shaista Yasmeen and Manisha Kanchru.

Dr Imtiaz Bhatti, Dr Ranjeeta Langeh, Shallu Jamoria, Dr Parul Chhibber and Pratibha Heer were also present on the occasion.
