Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh – An inventor from Prayagraj, Shailendra Singh Gaur, has created a major stir in the automobile world by claiming to have invented a six-stroke internal combustion engine. Gaur states that this new engine can deliver an astonishing mileage of per of petrol when tested on a bike.

Gaur, an alumnus of Allahabad University, reportedly spent nearly years developing this technology. His journey involved significant personal sacrifice; according to local reports, he sold his land, house, and shop to fund the research and converted his rented home into a makeshift laboratory.

How the New Engine Works

Conventional vehicles generally use a four-stroke engine. Gaur explains that his six-stroke design adds two extra strokes to the cycle. This modification is designed to capture more of the fuel’s energy.

Gaur claims that while standard engines only use about percent of the fuel's energy, his six-stroke model is capable of utilizing almost percent of the energy, dramatically improving fuel efficiency and reducing heat loss. The engine is also claimed to be compatible with multiple fuels, including petrol, diesel, CNG, and ethanol, and produces near-zero pollution.

Patents and The Road Ahead

This innovative technology has already secured two patents from the Government of India, with more patents currently pending.

The initial tests showed promising results. In one demonstration on a modified TVS bike, the vehicle reportedly ran for on only of petrol, which translates to the claimed efficiency.

However, the technology now needs official validation. For any engine to be adopted by the automobile industry, it must undergo strict testing and certification by regulatory bodies like the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).

Gaur is now seeking support from both the government and major industrial houses to help move the invention from a successful prototype to mass production. He has appealed for investors to come forward so that this fuel-efficient and eco-friendly engine can benefit the general public across the country.
