GHAROTA 3RD DECEMBER: MLA Nagrota Devyani Rana today inaugurated an Orientation and Training Camp aimed at empowering local youth and preparing them for employment opportunities in the hotel and hospitality industry across Jammu & Kashmir and other parts of the country. The programme has been organised in collaboration with ARC Hospitality, Jammu, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance skill development and open corporate avenues for the younger generation.

Over 200 enthusiastic youth, aged 18 to 27, participated in the inaugural session. The selected candidates will undergo an intensive 45-day free training programme, covering essential hospitality skills, professional grooming, communication, and workplace readiness. After completion, eligible trainees will be facilitated for placement in reputed hotels within and outside the Union Territory.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Devyani Rana emphasized the need for youth to take proactive steps in upgrading their skills in line with the evolving demands of the global job market. She highlighted that the hospitality sector offers immense opportunities for growth, stability, and exposure.

“Today’s world belongs to those who are willing to learn, adapt, and excel,” Ms. Rana said. “Our youth must come forward, enhance their skill sets, and confidently join the corporate world. With the right training and attitude, they can build rewarding careers not just in the UT but anywhere in the country. My vision is to see the youth of Nagrota and Jammu & Kashmir emerge as leaders, innovators, and professionals who contribute meaningfully to society.”

She reiterated her commitment to supporting initiatives that bridge the gap between education and employability, ensuring that young people have access to training programmes that align with industry requirements. Ms. Rana praised ARC Hospitality for creating a training and placement platform that nurtures talent and expands employment opportunities for local youth.

Also speaking on the occasion, Ms. Chitwan Khorana, CEO, ARC Hospitality, expressed confidence in the potential of the participants and outlined the organisation's mission.

Ms. Khorana said. “The hospitality sector is growing rapidly, and with structured training, we can help young individuals secure stable and prestigious careers. We are proud to partner with community leaders like Ms. Devyani Rana who share our vision for youth empowerment.”

The event concluded with an interactive session where experts briefed the participants about career paths, industry expectations, and the importance of professional discipline.

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 20: Continuing the series of awareness programmes under the banner of 'Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan,' Cultural Unit Srinagar, Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) organized a fresh round of events on Wednesday in collaboration with various government and private schools of Srinagar.

The day’s programmes were successfully conducted at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Soura, Government Boys Secondary School Harwan, Government Boys High School Mulphaq, Government Secondary School Barjee, as well as private institutions including Greenland Foundation School Hawal and Mars School Eidgah Srinagar.


The events featured cultural presentations, interactive sessions, and motivational talks, all designed to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to inspire collective responsibility among the youth to resist this growing menace.

Principals and Heads of the participating institutions highly appreciated the initiative, acknowledging the vital role of such programmes in shaping responsible and aware citizens. 

They lauded the efforts of the Cultural Unit Srinagar for carrying forward this campaign with great impact.

The initiative once again underscored the commitment to empower young minds and reaffirmed the vision of building a drug-free and progressive Jammu & Kashmir.

Design academic odyssey as per aptitude: Rana tells meritorious pass outs

 

NAGROTA JULY 14- Senior BJP leader Mr Devender Singh Rana today exhorted the meritorious students to design their academic path as per aptitude and innate abilities to meet the challenges of the obtaining competitive world.

 

“Having passed the crucial classes with flying colours, focus on now upon what you want to be in consultation with parents and teachers “, Mr Rana told 158 students  of Block Nagrota while felicitating them on their outstanding score in the recently declared results for class 10th and 12th.

 

Mr Devender Rana told the students that they were fortunate enough to pursue their studies in an era when the government led by the visionary Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi is focused on youth empowerment and giving new wings to those aspiring for excellence. He referred to the measures initiated during the past one decade in the educational sector of Jammu and Kashmir, which inter alia include establishment of about 50 degree colleges and enrolment of more than 45000 children, with girls benefiting the most. He recalled how difficult it used to be for the governments even to think of spending huge amounts of money in the field of education and skill development. But the Prime Minister has made it possible to spend more and more to provide modern education to the present generation, he asserted. 

 

He said the dedicated efforts of the Centre and the Union Territory Administration have hugely done well in every sector, including education and skill development, which is visible on ground zero. He said the coming years of the Prime Minister’s third term is going to be game changer to empower youth with knowledge, skills and the confidence to pursue their dreams.

 

During his interaction with the meritorious students, Mr Rana enquired about their goals. He exuded confidence that their success stories in the exams will serve as an inspiration for youngsters in aiming high and realising their dreams.

 

While lauding the hard work and dedication of the students to make a mark in the exams, Mr Rana complimented the parents and the teachers also, acknowledging their unflinching support to meet the educational needs of their wards. Unlocking the potential of young minds in itself is a huge challenge, he added. 

 

This was the second felicitation event, the first having been conducted in the Dansal Block wherein 198 students were honoured recently and the next felicitation will be going to be held on 17th of July in Blocks Amb Ghrota and Mathwar.

 

During his visit to the area, Mr Rana listened to the individual and collective problems of the residents and assured that these will be taken up with all the concerned for redressal. He said the BJP is sensitive to issues of immense public importance and endeavours are made to ensure better utility services in every area.
