A Meeting of OBC Department of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee

JAMMU: A meeting of members of the OBC department of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee was organized under the chairmanship of Sh. Madan Lal Chalotra, Chairman of the OBC department of Pradesh Congress Committee of Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting took place on the 27th of March 2024 at Pacca Talab, Rehari Chingi, Jammu.

The primary focus of the meeting was the upcoming parliament elections and the strategy to be adopted for the successful election of Congress candidates. The members also discussed issues related to reservations for the OBC category in parliament, assembly, and municipal elections. They also deliberated on the implementation of the Mandal Commission and other related matters.

Another important topic of discussion was the preparation of a meeting to honor the arrival of Sardar Gurvinder Singh Billa Ji, the national coordinator of OBC from New Delhi. This meeting is scheduled to take place on the 30th of March 2024 at the Congress headquarters in Sheedi Chowk, Jammu.

The participants also discussed the recent announcement by our national leader, Sh. Rahul Gandhi, regarding caste-based census reservations. All the delegates and members of the OBC community put forth their valuable suggestions in the interest of the OBC community as well as the Congress party.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to all the participants. The meeting was attended by Sh. Darshan Lal Verma, Vice Chairman; Sh. Jagdish Kashyap, Vice Chairman; Sh. Ravi Mehra, Vice Chairman; Sh. Bodh Raj, Vice Chairman; Sh. Surinder Prajpati, Vice Chairman; Sardar Mehar Singh, Vice Chairman; Darshan Mehara, State Coordinator; Sh. Preem Sagar, Joint Coordinator; Sh. Sat Paul, Joint Coordinator; and Sh. Rakesh Verma, Joint Coordinator.
