 JAMMU, AUGUST 26: To augment and strengthen the skills of the employees of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) Katra, six day training programme was organised at Government Polytechnic College Jammu under the guidance of the Principal of the College Er Arun Bangotra.

On the valedictory day, certificates were presented to the trainees by Er Arun Bangotra, in presence of Er Sukhdeep Singh, HOD Civil Engineering Department; Er. Manjeet Singh, HOD Electrical Engineering Department; Er Akhil Kumar, Lecturer Electrical Engineering Department and Er. Sandeep Nimbalkar, Incharge CIIIT.

During the training HOD Electrical briefed the employees about Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electric power with fault analysis and their Protection.

 Arun Sharma, the Workshop Instructor imparted hands-on training to the employees of SMVDSB on Solar Plant, wiring techniques etc.

Er. Himanshu Bakshi, Demonstrator, also gave a demonstration to the employees on repair of electric gadgets.

On the concluding day a visit was organised to Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) Jammu to enable the trainee employees to gain first-hand experience of latest technologies, established at CIIIT.

Er. Sandeep Nimbalkar briefed about the latest technologies, established at CIIIT with the aim of up-skilling and enhancing employability of engineering students to latest trends by imparting skill training on latest technologies such as E- Vehicle, industrial processes, product verification and analysis, product life cycle, value engineering, digital & advanced manufacturing engineering.

The employees of the SMVDSB thanked the college administration for providing excellent training to enrich their knowledge.
