MP Jugal Kishore Sharma Launches Swachhta Pakhwada 3.0 in Jammu, Joins NHAI in Cleaning Bus Stand

JAMMU: National Highways Authority of India (Regional Office, Jammu) organized a mega event on the eve of "Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta" on October 1, 2023, under Swachhta Pakhwada 3.0.

Cleaning of premises and surroundings of the General Bus-stand Jammu was taken up in collaboration with District Administration, Jammu on October 1, 2023, from 9:30 AM onwards. The program witnessed an active participation with around 500 participants.

Hon'ble MP Lok Sabha Sh. Jugal Kishore Sharma, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sh. Ramesh Kumar IAS, among others, joined and actively took part in the cleanliness drive as part of the event.

At the outset, Regional Officer Jammu Sh. P Siva Sankar welcomed the Chief Guest Hon'ble Member of Parliament in Lok Sabha Sh. Jugal Kishore Sharma, Sh. Ramesh Kumar IAS Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sh. Sandeep Singh Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Corporator Sh. Anil Sharma, and the locals who had gathered for Shram Dhan on the eve of Swachta Pakhwada 3.0. RO NHAI apprised about the various cleanliness initiatives taken by them during the Pakhwada.

Sh. Jugal Kishore Sharma addressed the gathering while laying stress on the importance of maintaining hygiene in our surroundings and persuaded all to move towards achieving the noble goal set by our PM regarding Swachch Bharat. Hon'ble MP along with Divisional Commissioner and all other participants took an active lead in the zone hour-long Shram Dhan Event by taking up the cleaning activity in and around the General Bus-stand Jammu.

Hon'ble MP congratulated the team of NHAI for organizing such a mega event in the heart of Jammu City. Project Director Udhampur Sh. Anuj Kumar Singh and Manager (T) NHAI Jammu Sh. Ish Gupta while presenting the Mementos to the Dignitaries expressed gratitude to them for joining in the noble act of shramdaan for a lasting change in our communities.
