Successful Removal of Foreign Body from Patient at DH Samba

 

Samba, 24^th January, 2024- In a significant advancement in patient care, District Hospital Samba successfully treated a patient with a history of foreign body ingestion.

The procedure was expertly conducted by Dr. Deepshikha, who performed a 70-degree endoscopy. During this examination, the foreign body was successfully visualized and subsequently removed under general anesthesia by Dr. Anuradha Bali and Dr. Deepshikha Sumbria with the skilled assistance of Vijay Kumar, Senior OT Technician.

 

The surgery was overseen by Medical Superintendent Dr. Mohinder Kumar, with overall supervision provided by Dr. Rakesh Magotra, Director Health Services, Jammu. The Chief Medical Officer, Samba, Dr. Vidhi Bhatial, played a crucial role by offering invaluable support and guidance throughout the entire process.
