RAMBAN, MAY 23: To ensure a smooth and spiritually enriching experience for devotees traveling through District Ramban to pay obeisance at Mela Mata Kheer Bhawani, Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, today chaired a detailed review meeting  with officers of concerned departments.

Among those present in the meeting were Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak; Chief Planning Officer Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather; ACD Shrinath Suman; ACP Ashfaq Ahmed; Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineer PWD Ramban, and CEO Municipal Council Ramban and various senior officers.

Underscoring the importance of meticulous planning, the Deputy Commissioner directed officers to put in place robust arrangements at designated langar sites and other key locations. He emphasized the need to provide comprehensive facilities to pilgrims and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the Yatra.

The review covered key aspects including provision of sanitation, drinking water, electricity, food services (langars), toilets and parking at Langer sites. The DC instructed officials to ensure security arrangements are in place and to deploy fire tenders at critical points. Effective inter-departmental coordination during the Yatra was stressed.

The Health Department was directed to deploy skilled medical teams and keep ambulances on standby at important locations to deal with any medical emergencies. Officers briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the ongoing preparations.
