DC gives away loan cheques to 27 beneficiaries
KATHUA, JANUARY 23: The live broadcast of the launch of Credit Card facility and Disbursement of Loans to one lakh beneficiaries under the PM SVANidhi Scheme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was held today at the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex- Kathua.
Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma was the chief guest at the event, which was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Surinder Mohan Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Development, Vishavjeet Singh; CEO Municipal Council, Amit Sharma; Lead District Manager, Aman Jasrotia, Executive Officers of different municipal bodies, besides officers from line departments and beneficiaries of the scheme.
After the formal launch, the Deputy Commissioner gave away loan cheques to 27 PM SVANidhi scheme beneficiaries hailing from different parts of the district.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Government for extending timely financial assistance which will help them strengthen their livelihoods and achieve economic self-reliance.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the PM SVANidhi scheme is a landmark initiative aimed at uplifting street vendors by integrating them into the formal financial system. He urged beneficiaries to utilize the loan amount judiciously to expand their businesses and improve their income.
