Speakers addressing the programme recalled that Savitribai Phule was far more than India’s first woman teacher—she was a transformative force who boldly confronted the entrenched social evils of her era. At a time when education was denied to women and marginalized communities, she fearlessly paved the way for learning, equality, and social reform. Her lifelong commitment to combating caste-based discrimination, gender inequality, and social oppression through education was highlighted as truly inspirational.
Shri Madan Lal Chalotra underlined that the ongoing struggle for the rights and dignity of OBCs, women, and other marginalized sections draws immense inspiration from Savitribai Phule’s life and ideals. He reaffirmed the Congress party’s dedication to the values of social justice, equality, and empowerment that she stood for, noting that observing her Jayanti is not merely symbolic but a reminder of society’s collective duty to ensure education, dignity, and equal opportunity for all.
Women participants expressed a firm resolve to take forward Savitribai Phule’s legacy by strengthening education, social awareness, and women’s empowerment at the grassroots level. The programme concluded with a unified pledge to work towards an inclusive, just, and egalitarian society, echoing the timeless relevance of Savitribai Phule’s vision in the present day.
