Vishwajit’s ton powers Gentle Giants to 130-run win
Apex Cricket Club register comfortable six-wicket victoryJammu, April 13 - A blistering century by Vishwajit Singh guided Gentle Giants to a thumping 130-run win over Tiger XI in the ongoing 1st Jambu Lochan T20 Cricket Tournament organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Masters Games Association at Maulana Azad Stadium.After winning the toss and opting to bat, Gentle Giants piled up a huge total of 223 for seven in 20 overs. Vishwajit Singh starred with a fantastic knock of 127 runs off 61 balls, smashing 10 sixes and eight fours to register the first century of the tournament.
In reply, Tiger XI failed to chase the daunting target and were bundled out for just 93 runs in 15.3 overs, handing Gentle Giants a one-sided victory. Vishwajit Singh was declared Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
In another match, Apex Cricket Club defeated Tantray Sports Club by six wickets. Batting first, Tantray Sports Club scored 140 for nine in their allotted overs.
Apex Cricket Club chased down the target comfortably in 15.1 overs, losing four wickets in the process. Shubham Gupta remained unbeaten on 57 off 30 balls, while Ajay Singh was named Man of the Match for his impressive bowling figures of four for 18.
