JAMMU, AUGUST 21: A delegation of forest contractors, led by Hindustan Shiv Sena State President Vikrant Kapoor, met Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force, Jammu & Kashmir, Sarvesh Rai (IFS), on Thursday to discuss various issues confronting forest contractors.
The delegation included forest contractors Sunaksh Gupta, Yashpal Gupta and others.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Vikrant Kapoor said the delegation raised several concerns with the PCCF, with detailed discussions focusing particularly on issues affecting the livelihood of forest contractors.
Kapoor said Sarvesh Rai patiently heard their concerns and assured the delegation that their grievances would be considered sympathetically. The PCCF also assured them that all possible efforts would be made to address and resolve the issues at the earliest.
The forest contractors expressed hope that the Forest Department would take concrete measures for the early resolution of the matters raised during the meeting.
