Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan symbol of unity and patriotism in J&K: Adv Devraj

RS Pura: BJP DDC Vidya Motton and senior BJP leader Adv Devraj Sharma led an impressive Tiranga rally to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor. The rally, which commenced at Miran Sahib, generated significant enthusiasm and response as it passed through the main bazaar, featuring the national flag and symbolizing national pride and unity.The rally paid tributes to the families of the martyrs, acknowledging their sacrifice and expressing support and unity with the families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty.

The event demonstrated solidarity with the security forces and their efforts to protect the nation, with participants expressing admiration for the valor and bravery of the security forces.The rally highlighted the importance of national security and the need for continued support for the security forces, fostering a sense of unity and patriotism among citizens. The rally aimed to praise the security forces for their successful operation targeting terrorist camps in Pakistan and demonstrate national pride and solidarity with the security forces. Operation Sindoor was notable for its effective collaboration among security forces, demonstrating expertise in targeting and neutralizing terrorist threats and forcing Pakistan to seek a ceasefire

DDC Vidya Motton speaking on the occassion highlighted the profound impact of the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing its role in fostering national unity and pride. The campaign, which commenced on August 2 and will culminate on August 15, has witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens across the Union Territory.She said  Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan has brought about a significant transformation in Jammu and Kashmir, with the national flag now proudly adorning homes, markets, schools, colleges, and offices. This display of patriotism is a testament to the changing dynamics of the region, where citizens are increasingly embracing national symbols and values .

Adv Devraj in his address said that the tryst with the Tiranga in Jammu and Kashmir is a saga of struggle and sacrifices for the unity and sovereignty of Bharat. Historically, the region has witnessed intense debates and protests surrounding the hoisting of the national flag, with the Praja Parishad agitation in the 1950s being a notable example. The movement, led by the Jammu Praja Parishad, aimed to fully integrate Jammu and Kashmir with India, opposing the special status granted under Article 370 , said Devraj.

Devraj observed that the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan has also had a profound impact on the youth and educational institutions in Jammu and Kashmir. Schools and colleges have organized Tiranga rallies, bike rallies, and other patriotic events, instilling a sense of national pride and unity among students. These events have not only promoted patriotism but also encouraged community participation and social cohesion .

The campaign has witnessed widespread participation from citizens, government officials, police personnel, and local communities. District administrations across Jammu and Kashmir have organized Tiranga rallies, bike rallies, and other events to promote the campaign. The collective effort has created a sense of ownership and responsibility among citizens, fostering a deeper connection with the nation , added Devraj.

The Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan is a significant initiative that has brought the people of Jammu and Kashmir together in a celebration of national pride and unity. As we approach Independence Day, Advocate Devaraj Sharma urged citizens to continue participating in the campaign and to hoist the national flag at their homes, symbolizing their commitment to the nation .

Devraj maintained that the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan in Kashmir is seen as a reflection of the region's growing acceptance and patriotism towards India, particularly after the abrogation of Article 370. This campaign, part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, has witnessed widespread participation across Kashmir, with citizens proudly displaying the national flag at their homes, schools, and public spaces.

Devraj said the campaign has instilled a sense of national pride and unity among Kashmiris, who are now more willing to participate in patriotic events and display the national flag.The abrogation of Article 370 has brought about a significant shift in the region's dynamics, with a marked decrease in stone-pelting incidents and strikes, and an increase in tourism and economic activity.

He said the campaign has promoted a sense of unity and belonging among Kashmiris, who are now more inclined to identify themselves as Indians and celebrate national events.The campaign has seen participation from all sections of society, including students, government officials, and security personnel, who have organized Tiranga rallies and other events to promote patriotism and national pride .

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 12:  Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today flagged-off the Tiranga Yatra from Dal Lake in Srinagar and joined the walkathon from Dal Lake to Botanical Garden.

“Tiranga is my Dharma. Tiranga is my strength. Tiranga is my heartbeat,” said the Lieutenant Governor.


He also observed that it would be a blessing to be born again to serve the country. 

“ कर्म हेतु इस धर्म भूमि पर लें फिर फिर हम जन्म सहर्ष- For the sake of duty, may we again and again take birth on this holy land. भारत माता की जय!,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

He paid tributes to the forefathers and brave hearts who laid down their lives to keep the tricolour flying high in its full glory.

He said under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Jammu Kashmir has entered a new era of inclusive development.

“With renewed self-confidence and faith, the people of J&K are writing their own destiny. The unfulfilled dreams of generations are finally being realized.

With love for the Maa Bharti in their hearts, the people of Jammu Kashmir are marching ahead. This patriotic spirit is our greatest strength, which is paving the way for a peaceful and prosperous future of J&K and the nation,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

The Lieutenant Governor expressed gratitude to the people of Jammu Kashmir, Youth, Nari Shakti, Public Representatives, Culture Department, Education Department, J&K Police and Security Forces, Educational institutions, NCC Cadets and all stakeholders for their historic participation and contribution to Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan.

“The skies of Jammu and Kashmir are shining with the tricolor. From the banks of the Jhelum to the Chenab and from the peaks of Pir Panjal to Harmukh, the echo of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" can be heard everywhere. A new generation is rising, dedicated to the honour and glory of the tricolor. They have one resolve- to live and die for Maa Bharti,” the Lieutenant Governor said.


He said the “Weaves & Threads Activity” across schools, colleges, streets, and neighbourhoods in Jammu Kashmir, has ignited a new sense of purpose and resolve.

Events like Tiranga Mela, Tiranga Concerts, and Tiranga Bike Rallies organised across the UT in the last few days have also been a powerful medium to share the saga of our freedom fighters and spread the message of peace and national unity, the Lieutenant Governor further said.


The Lieutenant Governor appealed to all the sections of the society, especially the Youth of Jammu Kashmir to participate enthusiastically in the 3rd Phase of Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan starting from 13th August.

“Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan is a campaign of the dreams and aspirations of every youth. It is a symbol of self-reliant Jammu and Kashmir which is now charting a clear and resolute path toward the future. This campaign is a pledge to make Jammu Kashmir the best in every field. The tricolour will fly high on the Government Buildings and all the houses across Jammu Kashmir. This is a campaign to celebrate our ideals and our unity,” the Lieutenant Governor said.



On the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor felicitated the Kargil War Heroes and released a Monograph in the honour of the Martyrs of Jammu Kashmir. 

Tiranga Concert, filled with patriotic ethos, paid a moving tribute to countless heroes and bravehearts and rekindled the spirit of the Indian freedom movement.

Chief Minister, Shri Omar Abdullah; Minister for Health & Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education and Social Welfare, Ms Sakeena Itoo; Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Shri Javed Ahmed Rana; Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election, Shri Javid Ahmad Dar;  Chairperson, J&K Waqf Board, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi; Chief Secretary, Shri Atal Dulloo; DGP, Shri Nalin Prabhat; Principal Secretary Home, Shri Chandraker Bharti; Principal Secretary Culture, Shri Brij Mohan Sharma, people from all walks of life and residents of Srinagar, senior officials of Security forces, Police and Civil Administration joined the Tiranga Yatra.
