 JAMMU, MARCH 06: Shakti Udghosh Foundation (NGO) was today felicitated by Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation Dr. Devansh Yadav for completing five days bike rally from Kathua to Poonch in which bikers from more than 6 states participated for a social cause of immediate concern of all the strata of the society viz Nasha Mukt Seemaiya.

It is emerging as one of the challenge for the Nation and all stakeholders to work in coordination to get rid of this menace from the society. He appreciated the bikers who have come from various states from Tamil Nadu to Jammu & Kashmir to join hands for one social cause. The women bikers reached Jammu after completing their 5 days motorbike expedition covering Kathua, Samba, Jammu, Rajouri and Poonch Districts with the motive NASHA MUKT SEEMAYEIN. They also interacted with students of schools, colleges and masses of the border areas.

A video showcasing their 800 km journey was played during the programme. The experience gained by the participants in the rally was also shared in the event.

Besides Nasha Mukt Seemaiyan programme, the bikers generated awareness about Swachh Bharat Mission and various initiatives taken therein in Jammu & Kashmir. The citizen feedback regarding Swachhata was also taken by the women bikers. The Commissioner ensured them for all necessary assistance in future in carrying out such programmes for the benefits of the society.

The team was felicitated with trophies and appreciation certificates by the Commissioner, JMC, Joint Commissioner (H&S), and Health Officer. The staff of JMC also attended the event.
