Ravinder Raina Holds Civil Society Meet in Nowshera Amid LoC Tensions

 

NOWSHERA: On May 3, 2025, Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief Ravinder Raina chaired a civil society meeting in Nowshera to address rising concerns over recent ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) by Pakistan. The gathering, involving leaders from social, religious, and political organizations, aimed to formulate a peaceful and united response to the escalating border situation.

The meeting comes in the wake of multiple ceasefire violations by Pakistan, including unprovoked firing in the Poonch sector. These incidents have heightened tensions in the border districts of Jammu and Kashmir, prompting immediate responses from political leaders and local communities.

“Our security forces are fully capable of giving a befitting reply, but we also need to stay united and expose conspiracies meant to divide us,” Raina stated during the meeting, highlighting the dual need for vigilance and social cohesion.

In parallel social media posts on the same day, Raina also targeted the Congress Party for what he alleged were weak stances regarding national security and support for India’s military.
