Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, one of India's most loved stars, is currently stable and under close medical observation at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. The 89-year-old legend was admitted to the hospital in late October for what his team initially described as a routine, age-related check-up.
The actor’s stay has caused significant concern among his millions of fans after several unconfirmed media reports surfaced on Monday, November 10, suggesting a serious turn in his health. These reports falsely claimed that Dharmendra, famously known as the ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood, was critical and had been placed on ventilator support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), possibly due to breathing issues he had experienced earlier.
However, the actor’s family has stepped in quickly to clear up the confusion and dismiss the speculation.
A firm statement released by his son, actor Sunny Deol’s team, confirmed that the rumours of him being on a ventilator are untrue. The official statement read: “Mr Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as available. We request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family's right to privacy.”
Sources close to the family echoed this, assuring the public that there is "nothing to worry" about the actor's condition.
Dharmendra is a highly respected figure in Indian cinema, with a career spanning over six decades and unforgettable roles in classics like Sholay. His continuous work, including recent appearances in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and the upcoming war film Ikkis, keeps him constantly in the public eye.
