GULMARG: The Sqay Federation of India is proud to announce the 3rd Snow Sqay Championship, which will be held at Gulmarg, Jammu & Kashmir, from February 10 to February 14, 2026.
This national-level championship aims to promote Sqay, the ancient martial art of Kashmir, while providing a competitive platform for athletes from across the country. Set against the scenic snow-covered backdrop of Gulmarg, the event will be a unique blend of sport, tradition, and culture.
The championship will feature competitions in the following six events:
- Individual
- Boys Doubles
- Girls Doubles
- Boys and Girls Mixed Doubles
- Mixed Team Event
Each participating team will consist of five players and one coach, adhering to a 2+3 team composition from the same state, as per the championship regulations.
The Sqay Federation of India remains committed to the development and promotion of Sqay at national and international levels. This championship is expected to encourage youth participation, preserve cultural heritage, and strengthen the martial art’s presence in winter sports.
