Jammu, April 17Exciting cricketing action marked the ongoing 1st Jambu Lochan T20 Cricket Tournament being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Masters Games Association at Maulana Azad Stadium, as Gentle Giants and Rehari Kings XI registered emphatic victories in their respective matches today.

In the first match, Gentle Giants took on Green Star Bhaderwah. After winning the toss, Gentle Giants skipper Ashish Kohli elected to bat first. The decision paid off as the team posted a competitive total of 167 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Vishavjeet Singh was the star performer, playing a impressive knock of 97 runs off 63 balls, anchoring the innings brilliantly.

For Green Star Bhaderwah, Aleen Malik, Khalid Bashir, and Adil Gufar picked up two wickets each, while Adil Wani and Aubi Raja chipped in with one wicket apiece.

In reply, Green Star Bhaderwah struggled to build momentum and were bowled out for 121 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Adil Gufar and Ahtishamul Haq scored 20 runs each, while Aamir Sheikh contributed 17 runs. The Gentle Giants bowlers dominated, with Abhay Tandon delivering a match-winning spell of 5 wickets for just 10 runs in 3 overs. Jaddu claimed two wickets, while Anmol, Vishavjeet Singh, and Rajan picked up one wicket each. Vishavjeet Singh was deservedly declared Player of the Match for his outstanding all-round performance.

In another match, Rehari Kings XI outclassed Hunter Cricket Club in a convincing run chase. After winning the toss, Hunter Cricket Club opted to bat first but were bowled out for 118 runs in 19.4 overs. Manmohan Kotwal top-scored with 43 runs off 44 balls, including two fours and a six. For Rehari Kings XI, Rohit was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets for 17 runs in his 4 overs.

Chasing the modest target, Rehari Kings XI displayed aggressive batting and chased down the total comfortably, scoring 123 runs for the loss of three wickets in just 12.2 overs. Mohit led the charge with a brisk 36 off 20 balls, while Vikas Lakhotra added 18 runs. Jatin played a match-winning cameo, smashing 20 runs off just 8 balls, including three massive sixes.

For Hunter Cricket Club, Arvind Chouhan claimed two wickets. Rohit Gupta was declared Player of the Match for his impressive performance. The award was presented by President JKMGA Ranjeet Singh Chib and Provincial President Youth Wing National Conference Tajinder Singh Aman.
