The ATF Centre, being run in collaboration with All India Institute of Medical Sciences, plays a significant role in supporting the district administration’s efforts under the ongoing ‘Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan’ aimed at curbing drug abuse and promoting a healthy, addiction-free society.

The Deputy Commissioner inspected various sections of the facility and reviewed the infrastructure, patient care arrangements, counselling services and rehabilitation support available at the centre. He was informed by Dy CMO Neeraj Nagpal that the facility has recently been upgraded from a 10-bedded centre to a 22-bedded centre with round-the-clock availability of specialist doctors and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with two patients undergoing treatment at the facility. He encouraged them to remain strong and determined in their recovery journey, motivating them to leave behind the path of substance abuse and embrace a healthier and more fulfilling life. He assured them of full support from the administration and urged them to become ambassadors of awareness for others facing similar challenges.
