KISHTWAR, DECEMBER 22: The flagship outreach initiative “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore,” being observed as part of the 5th Good Governance Week, was successfully implemented across all 13 blocks of District Kishtwar on day 4 of the campaign.

The initiative aims to proactively address public grievances, improve last-mile service delivery, and ensure effective implementation of government welfare schemes at the village level.

Under the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, officers from the line departments conducted extensive field visits across all blocks in accordance with the schedule issued by the District Administration.

During the outreach programmes, officers engaged directly with local residents, listened to their concerns, and facilitated on-the-spot redressal of a significant number of grievances, thereby strengthening public trust in governance mechanisms.

The public was sensitized to major flagship welfare schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Shram Yogi Maandhan, PM Kisan Maandhan, Mission YUVA, the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), and other government initiatives. Several services, particularly revenue-related services, were delivered on the spot to ensure timely benefits to eligible beneficiaries.

At Block Headquarters Inderwal, officers and representatives from multiple departments actively interacted with residents, addressed public grievances, and disseminated information on government schemes.

Key services delivered included issuance of Labour Cards and Birth/Death Certificates. Awareness regarding Handloom and Handicrafts schemes was also imparted to the people.

Plant saplings were distributed in Atholi, Forest Range Padder to promote environmental conservation, enhance green cover, and encourage community participation in sustainable development.

Deputy Registrar Cooperatives Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal presided over a public outreach camp at Panchayat Ghar Kewa-Block Bounjwah; Assistant Director Handicrafts Pradeep Shan at Block Headquarters Inderwal; and Divisional Forest Officer Mahesh Thakur at Panchayat Ghar Drubeel-Block Mughal Maidan. Executive Engineer JPDCL, Latif Wani presided over the programme at Panchayat Karool B-Block Drabshalla.
