DODA, DECEMBER 22: The Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women (SHEW)-Mission Shakti, in collaboration with the AYUSH Department, organized twin health camps at Parisha and Palash Doda under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative.

The camps aimed at strengthening preventive healthcare among students, with a special emphasis on early screening and timely intervention. Qualified medical professionals conducted systematic health examinations of students to assess general health parameters and rule out potential ailments.

The students were also educated about disease prevention, adolescent health concerns, and the importance of maintaining overall physical and mental well-being.

Free medicines were provided to the students strictly as per medical advice. The medical team also sensitised students on the importance of personal hygiene, balanced nutrition, and adopting healthy lifestyle practices from an early age.

The programme was attended by Gender Specialist, Humerah Balwan (Mission Shakti), Dr. Vikas Ahmed, and Junior Pharmacist, Nighat Parveen from the AYUSH Department.

The speakers highlighted the significance of regular health check-ups, awareness about common health concerns, and the crucial role of preventive care in ensuring the holistic development and well-being of children and adolescents.
