SRINAGAR, AUGUST 20: Continuing the series of awareness programmes under the banner of 'Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan,' Cultural Unit Srinagar, Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) organized a fresh round of events on Wednesday in collaboration with various government and private schools of Srinagar.

The day’s programmes were successfully conducted at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Soura, Government Boys Secondary School Harwan, Government Boys High School Mulphaq, Government Secondary School Barjee, as well as private institutions including Greenland Foundation School Hawal and Mars School Eidgah Srinagar.


The events featured cultural presentations, interactive sessions, and motivational talks, all designed to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to inspire collective responsibility among the youth to resist this growing menace.

Principals and Heads of the participating institutions highly appreciated the initiative, acknowledging the vital role of such programmes in shaping responsible and aware citizens. 

They lauded the efforts of the Cultural Unit Srinagar for carrying forward this campaign with great impact.

The initiative once again underscored the commitment to empower young minds and reaffirmed the vision of building a drug-free and progressive Jammu & Kashmir.

 

POONCH: The 'Nasha Mukth Seema' Bike Rally, aimed at spreading drug abuse awareness and promoting a drug-free life in border areas, successfully concluded in Poonch today. The remarkable event featured a group of 15 courageous female bikers, who embarked on this inspiring journey to highlight the importance of a drug-free society.

The rally was officially concluded in Poonch, where District Commissioner (DC) Poonch Vikas Kundal,  welcomed the bikers with heartfelt congratulations and certificates of appreciation for their remarkable achievement. The DC commended the bikers for their dedication and the powerful message they carried across the border areas.

"I am extremely proud of these 15 inspiring women who have not only completed this challenging ride but have also played a key role in promoting a cause that is so crucial for our society," said DC Poonch during the event. "Their commitment to spreading awareness about a drug-free life is commendable, and their courage serves as an inspiration to everyone, particularly the youth."

The female bikers endured long hours on the road, covering significant distances through remote areas, withstanding harsh conditions to deliver their message of hope and positivity. Along the route, they were greeted by local communities who came out in large numbers to support the cause and cheer the riders.

This rally served as a testament to the strength, resilience, and unity of women in promoting a drug-free future, particularly in border regions where youth are often vulnerable to drug abuse.

The rally received overwhelming support from the local communities, district administration, and volunteers. The participants' journey was marked by numerous interactions with locals, where they spread the message of anti-drug campaigns and encouraged the youth to adopt healthier lifestyles.

The concluding ceremony witnessed a warm welcome by Poonch residents, local officials, and dignitaries, celebrating the bikers' unwavering spirit. Each participant received certificates of appreciation, acknowledging their selfless efforts and contribution to the noble cause.

The 'Nasha Mukth Seema' Bike Rally marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to combat drug abuse across the region. This initiative not only empowered women but also reinforced the importance of a drug-free society in ensuring a brighter future for the youth, especially in border districts.

The District Commissioner expressed gratitude to the participants, volunteers, and local authorities for their relentless support, making the rally a grand success.
