UDHAMPUR, JANUARY 23: To discuss different parameters/indicators with the regard to Aspirational Panchayat Development Programme (APDP) launched by the Planning, Development  and Monitoring  Department, J&K  for short listing of the least developed Panchayats in each Block in the District,  Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna convened a meeting of officers of different departments, here in the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex.

At the outset, the CPO informed the Chair about the rollout of APDP and its significance in future planning of least performing panchayats. He added that the main objective of the program was to improve and uplift the socio-economic development scenario of these panchayats on selected parameters.

The meeting was also informed that as per the instruction of the PD&MD, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat has been nominated as the District level Nodal Officer and to complete the exercise in a time bound manner he will be assisted by a team of 12 Sub-Nodal officers for collection of data as per the format. The whole exercise will be carried out under overall supervision of the Additional District Development Commissioner, Udhampur.

DC directed all the heads of concerned departments to put their efforts while collecting the data while maintaining its sanctity. The DC exhorted upon the officers of concerned departments to start the exercise of data collection on the parameters pertaining to their respective departments of all 236 panchayats across the Udhampur district. Officers were directed to work with zeal and dedication to complete the process in a transparent and time bound manner and ensure that no panchayat is left out.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Shyam Singh, Chief Planning Officer, Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rafiq Ahmed Jaral, and other officers of various departments attended the meeting.
