'Meri Life Mera Swachh Shehar' campaign launched by MC Batote

 

RAMBAN, MAY 22: President Municipal Committee Batote, Ravinder Singh, today   kick started fifteen day 'Meri Life Mera Swachh Shehar' awareness campaign here in the town.

BDC Chairperson Batote, Rajeshwar Kumar, Tehsildar Vijay Kumar, Councilors,  EO MC Muneer Ahmed,  besides a large gathering of locals, students and  senior citizens were present .

The President MC informed that the aim of the campaign was to conduct special extensive door to door waste collection drives. He  urged the general public for their cooperation in making the campaign successful.

The EO MC said that during this fortnight Programme, there will be an extensive collection of plastic items, old books, used clothes and footwear from the households of Batote town.  He informed that the collected items shall later be refurbished, reused or recycled to save the environment.

He further requested people to come forward for the development of Batote as a whole and town in particular.
