 UDHAMPUR, MAY 17: Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India is going to organise District Level Yuva Utsav on the theme “Panch Pran” in Government Degree College Udhampur on May 25, 2023 and in GDC Reasi on May 26. The Program would be held in collaboration with the NSS unit of the Colleges.

  Speaking at a Press conference, District Youth Officer, Khushal Gupta urged the talented youth of both the districts of Udhampur and Reasi to register them through the designated Google form and get an opportunity to participate in the District Level event.

 This year, the Yuva Utsav has five components i.e. Young Artists Camp (Painting), Young Writers Camp (Poem), Photography Workshop, Declamation Contest, Cultural Festival (Group Dance only).

For Painting, Poetry and Photography contests, the first winner will be awarded Rs. 1000, second winner will get Rs. 750 and third winner will get Rs. 500 along with mementos and certificates of appreciation.

In the Declamation contest, the first, second and third winners will get Rs. 5000, Rs. 2000 and Rs. 1000 respectively. In the Group Cultural contest, the first prize is Rs. 5000, second prize is Rs. 2500 and third prize is Rs. 1250. The winners of each event will qualify for the State Level contest followed by the National Level Yuva Utsav.

Khushal Gupta said that PRIs, ULBs, Civil Society organisations, NGOs and Heads of educational institutions have a major role in ensuring that the talented youth of their respective areas get registered and participate in Yuva Utsav. He added that the interested candidates can register themselves well before May, 22, 2023. The link to the Google Form can be received by contacting 01992-270576, 9906249020, 9592289025.

 Youth can also raise queries and seek clarifications through these numbers. Stalls and exhibitions of the key development departments will also be set up at the venue through which young people will be able to get information about the various social and financial inclusion schemes of the Government of India.
