POONCH, APRIL 8: The Department of School Education organised a rally to spread awareness about the facilities available to students in government schools.

The rally was flagged off by Chief Education Officer, Bishamber Dass; District Education Planning Officer, NM Suri; Zonal Education Officer, Parveen Kousar and Zonal Education Planning Officer, Vijay Kumar.

The rally passed through the main market of Poonch town and ended at the District Institute of Education and Trainings (DIET) Poonch.

The students highlighted the improvements made in government schools in recent years, including the availability of quality education, well-equipped classrooms, libraries, mid-day meals (MDM), free books and other resources.

Bishamber Dass praised the efforts of the students and teachers in spreading awareness about the facilities available in government schools. He encouraged them to continue raising their voices and creating awareness about the importance of education for society and the nation.

NM Suri also expressed appreciation for the students’ initiative and emphasised the role of government schools in providing affordable and quality education to underprivileged sections of society. He reiterated the government’s commitment to improving facilities in government schools and encouraged teachers and students to utilise these resources to enhance their knowledge and skills.

Parveen Kousar, urged parents and guardians to enrol their children in government schools, where they can receive quality education free of cost.
